US University Honours Morenike George –Taylor, 355 Group MD, Others

LAGOS – Prowess University, Del­aware, United States of America, has honoured Barrister Morenike George –Taylor, the Group Managing Director of 355 Group at a ceremony held at the University of Lagos at the weekend

The event was the annu­al Good Governance Sum­mit organized by Lead­times Africa International Magazine.

Barrister George-Tay­lor also received the Lead­times Africa Global Excel­lence Award 2026 and was subsequently inducted into the Leadtimes Africa Hall of Fame.

Barrister George-Tay­lor, also the President of the Restaurants Cafes Bars and Club Association of Nigeria (RCBCA), was honoured along prominent Nigerians, including the President/Chief Execu­tive Officer of AirfFirst Group of Companies, Engr. Gbolahan Olusegun Abatan; the Chief Execu­tive Officer of Delta Trust Mortgage Bank, Olorogun (Barr.)

Dr Joshua Oghenejiru Muwhen, the Founder of Rock International Compa­ny, and Managing Director, Pecryl Limited Dr Adindu Chidiebere Mbachu.

The event, themed, ‘Promoting Good Gov­ernance In Leadership Through Private Sector Participation and Capac­ity Building: Pathway To Sustainability in Africa’, was attended by digni­taries, corporate leaders and family friends of the awardees.

The Editor-in-Chief of Leadtimes Africa Interna­tional Magazine, Dr Sam­uel Oga, said the summit was aimed at promoting good governance in Afri­can leadership and was for professionals who had distinguished themselves in their various areas of human endeavour.

Dr Oga said Barrister George-Taylor was picked for the honour for “her passion for sustainable development, impact driv­en investment, women em­powerment and communi­ty advancement.”

In her response, Bar­rister George-Taylor com­mended Prowess Univer­sity and Leadtimes Africa International Magazine for deeming it fit to honour her among thousands of deserving investors.

Her words: “I receive this award and honour with a deep sense of re­sponsibility not pride. This honour will only make us to work harder.”

Speaking with report­ers, she commended the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, while appealing to Nigerians to be patient, adding that “there is no gain without pain.”
