UWTF Congratulates Ogunro On Appointment As Mayor Of Islington, London

Uplifting Women Through Farming (UWTF) has congratulated British-Nigerian, Roseline Ogunro, on her appointment as the new Mayor of Islington, London.
President and Founder of UWTF, Princess Afoma Ojei-Adigwe, described Ogunro’s emergence as well deserved, noting that her appointment came barely a year after another Nigerian-born citizen, Jason Jackson, made history as the first Nigerian-born Mayor of Islington.
In a statement signed by Ojei-Adigwe, she praised Ogunro’s leadership qualities, dedication to service and record of excellence.
“My dear big sister and cousin, heartfelt congratulations on your emergence as the new Mayor of Islington, London. Your achievement does not come as a surprise, as you have consistently distinguished yourself through excellence in all your endeavours,” she said.
“Your dedication, leadership and unwavering commitment to service have truly earned you this remarkable position.”
She noted that Nigerians at home and in the diaspora were proud of Ogunro’s accomplishment, adding that UWTF joined in celebrating what she described as a significant milestone in her life and career.
Ojei-Adigwe further stated that the Ogboli Community and Issele-Uku in Delta State were proud of Ogunro for bringing honour and recognition to the community through her achievements.
She expressed optimism that Ogunro’s tenure would usher in progress, unity, empowerment and positive transformation for the people of Islington.
“We are proud of your achievements and wish you greater success in all your future aspirations,” she added.
