Yobe 2027: APC Remains United Ahead Of 2027 Elections – Gov Buni

The Yobe State Governor, Hon. Mai Mala Buni, has chaired the second critical stakeholders’ meeting to strengthen unity and harmony towards delivering victory to all APC candidates in the state.

The meeting was held on Sunday,  at the Banquet Hall, Government House, Damaturu.

Speaking at the meeting, Governor Buni expressed gratitude to the stakeholders for supporting the government in executing laudable policies and programmes that have a positive impact on the lives of the people of the state.

He described the meeting as united, harmonious, and focused on building consensus for peaceful coexistence and a prosperous Yobe state.

The Governor stated that the party stakeholders had earlier adopted President Tinubu as the APC consensus presidential candidate and also endorsed the consensus mode for various positions across the state.

Buni said after a series of engagements, consultations and dialogue with the critical stakeholders, there is an understanding of the decision taken in the interest of the party and Yobe State.

“After a series of consultations and engagements with stakeholders, there is now a better understanding and appreciation of the decisions taken in the interest of the party and the state,” he said.

The Governor commended the efforts of the state’s critical stakeholders, under the leadership of the minister of police affairs, Sen. Ibrahim Geidam, for their high-level commitment to ensuring that all decisions taken are in the interest of and future of the state.

Buni assured more consultations and engagements for the remaining three aspirants, including Bashir Machina, Engr. Yusuf Maihaja and Barrister Kashim Musa Tumsah KMT for the party to face the forthcoming general elections with a united front.

He assured that his administration would continue to implement progressive policies and developmental programmes aimed at improving the lives of the state.

“Our administration is committed to ensuring we continue to implement developmental projects for sustainability to improve the lives of our citizens”.

After the meeting, a communiqué read by the former President of the 9th Senate, Sen. Ahmed Ibrahim Lawan, reaffirmed the party’s unity and collective resolve ahead of the 2027 general elections.

According to the communique State APC will remain united and determined to deliver victory in the forthcoming general elections in the state.

The communiqué stated that stakeholders and aspirants who contested various positions agreed to support the party’s consensus governorship candidate, Baba Malam Wali, and to collapse their political structures to support the party in the 2027 general elections.

The meeting, therefore, is a sermon on continued unity, reconciliation, and inclusiveness at all levels to strengthen the party ahead of the 2027 elections.
