2027: ADC Faction Unveils Yanoko As Kano Governorship Candidate

A faction of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) led by Nafi’u Bala Gombe has unveiled Hon. Adamu Yanoko as its governorship candidate for Kano State ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Yanoko emerged as the sole candidate of the faction following what party officials described as a consensus arrangement among stakeholders in the state.

The faction’s acting chairman in Kano, Hon. Musa Nuhu Yankaba, announced the development during a meeting held in Kano, where Yanoko was formally presented to the party leadership.
According to Yankaba, the decision followed consultations with leaders and members of the faction across the state.

Speaking after his unveiling, Yanoko thanked party members for the nomination and pledged to work with stakeholders as preparations for the 2027 elections gather momentum.

In his remarks, Bala said the faction was preparing to participate in the 2027 elections and would continue efforts to expand its activities and membership base in Kano and other parts of the country.

The development comes amid ongoing political realignments and preparations by political parties ahead of the next general elections.
