2027: Take Renewed Hope Agenda Success Story To All Corners, First Lady Urges APC Women

The Nigerian First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has called on All Progressives Congress (APC) women to embark on massive mobilisation and grassroots sensitisation, preaching and reminding people of the success story of the Renewed Hope Agenda.

She stated this in Abuja on Tuesday while inaugurating the national Secretariat of the Tinubu Torchbearers, a grassroots mobilisation vehicle established to amplify, communicate and resonate the achievements of the Renewed Hope administration among ordinary Nigerians.

Represented by the Minister of Women Affairs and Social Development, Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim, the First Lady said her Renewed Hope Initiative has complemented President Tinubu’s broader Renewed Hope Agenda in assisting vulnerable populations across all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

She said the initiative has benefited millions of Nigerian women and other vulnerable groups, insisting that such a story must be taken to the grassroots to remind those who have benefited, even if they have forgotten.

“Be ready, there are a lot of stories to be told. So many stories of prosperity. Now, the point for us is to go to every corner of this nation to tell the story so that people can hear it.

“And people who have benefited and forgotten, we will remind them that what you are enjoying is a dividend for all of us. It is the Renew Hope Initiative. So, we’ll go with the story,” the First Lady noted.

In her remarks, the APC National Women Leader, Hon. Mary Alile Idele, said across sectors, Nigerians are witnessing bold reforms, strategic interventions, and people-centred policies that are laying the foundation for a more prosperous future.

“Permit me to specially salute our courageous Mother of the Nation, the Grand Commander of Renewed Hope Initiatives, Her Excellency, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, CON. Your Excellency, your remarkable dedication to the welfare and empowerment of Nigerian women, children, and vulnerable groups through the Renewed Hope Initiative has brought renewed confidence and hope to millions of Nigerians.

“Your interventions have positively impacted women across every sector of society. Through your compassionate leadership and tireless advocacy, countless women have been empowered economically, socially, and politically. We celebrate your giant strides and relentless efforts to make life more meaningful for Nigerian women. We are proud of your exemplary leadership and motherly guidance.

“Today, I also salute and recognise the visionary leadership of the Tinubu Torchbearers for their outstanding commitment to promoting the ideals and achievements of the Renewed Hope administration at the grassroots level,” she said.

Alile-Idele added that one of the key activities at the Secretariat will be the organisation of weekly intercessory prayers for the nation and Tinubu’s administration throughout the campaign period and beyond.

“These prayer sessions will be led by ordained female ministers (OFM), Royal Sisters, prayer networks, and the Northern Muslim Women Assembly (NMWA). This spiritual engagement reflects our collective belief that while strategies and policies are important, divine guidance and support remain essential for national progress and success.

The Tinubu Torchbearers is fundamentally a grassroots mobilisation vehicle established to amplify, communicate, and resonate the achievements of the Renewed Hope administration among ordinary Nigerians. We must continue to oil the grassroots. The people must see the light. They must hear the message. They must understand the achievements,” she added.
