Justice D.I. Dipeolu of the Federal High Court in Ikoyi, Lagos, on Friday deferred ruling on the bail application filed by social media influencer and relationship therapist, Okoro Blessing Nkiruka, popularly known as Blessing CEO.
The judge adjourned the ruling to June 9, 2026, meaning the defendant will remain in custody pending the court’s decision.
According to a statement posted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on its X handle, Blessing CEO is being prosecuted by the Lagos Zonal Directorate 1 of the commission on a two-count charge bordering on alleged obtaining by false pretence and theft involving ₦36 million.
The case was heard on Friday, where arguments on the bail application were presented before the court before the judge reserved ruling.
The EFCC stated that the charges stem from allegations of financial misconduct involving the said amount, while further proceedings in the matter will continue after the bail ruling is delivered next week.
