Prominent social media personality and rights activist, Martyn Vincent, widely known as VeryDarkMan, has spearheaded a massive demonstration in Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State.
The activist and a large crowd of residents stormed the streets to demand immediate government intervention following the recent abduction of school children and teachers in Orire LG area of the state.
The protest, which attracted significant attention, was organized to force the authorities to act quickly and secure the freedom of those in captivity.
Politics Nigeria reports that the crowd, under the leadership of VeryDarkMan, marched through major roads in the capital city before gathering directly in front of the Oyo State Government House.
The demonstrators carried placards and chanted solidarity songs, insisting that the government must prioritize the safety of its citizens.
While addressing the crowd during the protest, VeryDarkMan expressed deep dissatisfaction with the pace of the rescue operations.
He questioned the effectiveness of security measures in the state and urged both the federal and state governments to deploy all necessary resources to bring the children and their teachers back home unharmed.
