‘Disclose Everything That Incriminates Peter Obi’ – Ex-Presidential Candidate Charges Okonkwo

A former presidential candidate of the National Interest Party (NIP), Eunice Atuejide, has challenged African Democratic Congress (ADC) chieftain, Kenneth Okonkwo, to present all evidence he has against the presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Peter Obi, in court.
Naijaonpoint understands that NIP is a political party in Nigeria. It was formed in 2017 by a group of young Nigerians led by Atuejide, NIP’s founder and first National Chairman.
Atuejide made the call on Thursday while speaking on Arise Television’s Prime Time. She said she remained a strong supporter of Obi but wanted all allegations against him tested openly.
Atuejide said Okonkwo should not hold back any information he claimed to have against the former Anambra State governor.
“I challenge Kenneth Okonkwo to disclose in court everything he has against Peter Obi that incriminates him,” she said.
She added that public scrutiny was necessary because she did not want to support any politician with a criminal record.
“I want that scrutiny for my children’s sake. I’m following Peter Obi with all my heart, all my life, and I don’t want to follow a man who has criminal records, whom we probably cannot scrutinise,” she said.
Atuejide said one of the reasons she wanted the matter pursued in court was because her children were observing her political choices.
“One of the reasons I’m happy to do this is that my children are seeing everything. They are happy that mommy is following a man who is at least different from all the other politicians we have known in Nigeria. So, I need Mr Kenneth Okonkwo to absolutely publish everything,” she said.
The former presidential candidate said she had told Obi that she would insist the matter be pursued in court.
“And I have told my leader that I’m going to demand that he continue this case in court, so that everybody who has any information that incriminates him, I want to see them,” she said.
