Some gunmen in Military Uniform invaded a secondary School in Iluke Community, Kabba-Bunu Area of Kogi State, disrupting the ongoing Senior Secondary School Examination.
According to the Kogi State Government the timely intervention of security forces prevented the gunmen from marching the students into the forest .
Kingsley Fanwo the Commissioner for information said , ” Reports available to Government indicate that the bandits disrupted an ongoing WAEC examination and had already begun marching students into the bush when security operatives engaged them in a fierce gun battle. Owing to the superior firepower, professionalism, and courage of the security agents, all the students were successfully rescued unharmed and returned to safety.” He,however confirmed the death of three members of the community.
