On Wednesday, June 10th, that his family, friends, and colleagues gathered at the Monarch Event Centre in Lekki, Lagos for a Service of Songs in his honour. Many celebrities attended the event to pay their respects.
Following the ceremony, Nancy Isime took to her Instagram page to describe the experience as the most difficult hosting gig of her life.
She wrote:
“HARDEST Hosting Gig of my Life!
This wasn’t the plan, Old 20 Naira. This wasn’t the plan.
But 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 and Matthew 5:4 are my assurance.
I refuse to put your name and rest in one sentence; I just can’t.
I miss you, my Brother”.
The actress expressed deep emotional pain over the loss, noting that the situation was never what anyone had planned for.
At the event, Nancy Isime also faced criticism online over her outfit, as she adhered to the dress code by wearing a white gown paired with a fascinator covering her eyes, which sparked mixed reactions on social media.
