Social media activist Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan, has denied reports circulating online that he was arrested during a protest in Abuja.
The activist made the clarification in a statement shared online after rumours emerged claiming he had been taken into custody by security operatives.
“I’m seeing a news now that i have been arr£sted, that’s not true, i’m safe and sound and back home: we can all go home now, we have passed today’s message and tomorrow we move again. We are tired of band!ts and t£rr0r!st kp@!n us, enough is a enough and we won’t keep quiet anymore”
He further stated:
“I was not arrested. I just left Karu Bridge in Abuja. We can all go home now, and I will inform Nigerians of the next protest location on another day.”
His remarks quickly generated reactions from social media users, with opinions divided over the protest and his role in the movement.
