Iranian drone strike damages Kuwait International Airport, injuring several and grounding flights
Kuwait suspended commercial flights on Wednesday after an Iranian drone attack struck the country’s main airport, damaging a passenger building and injuring several people, according to Kuwaiti authorities.
Defence Ministry spokesperson Brigadier General Saud Abdulaziz Al-Otaibi said “a number of hostile drones” targeted Kuwait International Airport, causing severe damage to the passenger terminal and wounding multiple individuals.
Officials did not immediately provide details on the extent of the injuries or when flight operations might resume.

The airport attack came hours after Iran and the United States exchanged strikes amid diplomatic efforts to bring a permanent end to a conflict that began in February.
