Kano Resident Names Newborn After Tinubu

A resident of Sabuwar Mandawari in Kano State, Ya Sayyadi Danbaba, has named his newborn son Ahmad Bola Tinubu in honour of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, saying the decision was inspired by his admiration for the President’s leadership and national development efforts.
Speaking with journalists, Danbaba explained that the naming was a personal gesture of respect and appreciation for what he described as Tinubu’s commitment to the welfare and progress of Nigerians.
He said, “I named my son Ahmad Bola Tinubu as a mark of respect, admiration and love for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. His commitment to Nigeria’s development and the welfare of its citizens has greatly inspired me. This is my own way of appreciating his service to the nation.”
Danbaba added that the naming ceremony of the newborn has been scheduled for next Thursday, and invited family members, friends, neighbours and members of the public to attend.
He also offered prayers for the country, expressing hope for continued peace, unity and national development.
“I pray that Almighty Allah continues to bless Nigeria with peace, security and unity. May our nation experience sustainable development and greater prosperity for all citizens,” he said.
The practice of naming children after prominent political figures is not uncommon in parts of Nigeria, often reflecting admiration, gratitude or recognition of perceived contributions to national development.
