Katsina Police Receives DIG Abdul, Condoles Government, Family Over Demise Of Late General Rabe

The Katsina State Police Command, received the Deputy Inspector-General of Police in charge of the Department of Finance and Administration and supervising DIG Northwest, DIG Sulaiman Muhammad Abdul, PhD, mni, on operational visit to the command.
This is contained in a statement by DSP Abubakar Sadiq Aliyu the command’s spokesman in Katsina, it stated that the visit is aimed at assessing the security situation in the state.
The DIG also paid a courtesy call on the Executive Governor of Katsina State, His Excellency Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, PhD, CON.
During the meeting, the DIG expressed his condolences to the Government and People of the Katsina State over the demise of late Maj. Gen. Rabe Abubakar.
He thanked the state administration for its continuous support towards the Police Force as well as other security agencies in the state.
In his remark, the Executive Governor of Katsina State, His Excellency Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, PhD, CON, appreciated the DIG for the timely visit and heartfelt condolences.
He commended the Inspector-General of Police for his prompt responsiveness in deploying the DIG to analyze the state’s security situation, reiterating his administration’s unwavering commitment to partnering with the Police Force to ensure the security of lives and property throughout the state.
At the command headquarters, the Assistant Inspector-General of Police (AIG) in charge of Zone 14, Katsina, (comprising Kaduna and Katsina Commands), AIG Bello Shehu, psc, fdc, MNIM, led the entourage that formally received the DIG, alongside the Commissioner of Police, Katsina State Command, CP Ali Umar Fage, psc (+), mnips, and members of the command’s management team.
During an interactive session with officers and men of the command, the AIG Zone 14 delivered a welcome address, thanking the DIG for the strategic visit and highlighting the zone’s commitment to optimal service delivery.
The Commissioner of Police, Katsina State Command presented a detailed operational briefing, outlining the command’s current security architecture and recent anti-crime achievements.
During his lecture to the personnel of the Command, DIG Sulaiman Muhammad Abdul, PhD, mni, commended the command’s leadership and applauded its modest achievements in fighting crime, urging them to sustain the tempo.
He further charged officers to always ensure the highest level of respect for human rights in the discharge of their constitutional duties. He reiterate the commitment of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, psc(+), NPM, toward continuously improving personnel welfare.
In his vote of thanks, the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Department of Finance and Administration, DCP Aminu Usman Gusau, expressed deep gratitude to the DIG for the visit and wished him a successful operational tour, assuring that all directives issued would be strictly complied with to align with the vision and policing agenda of the Inspector-General of Police.
