A viral social media post has triggered widespread debate after a user alleged that Nigerian politicians are involved in sponsoring kidnappers and benefiting from ransom payments.
In the post, the user wrote: “Nigerian Politicians Are The Ones Sponsoring These B@ndits Kidn@pping Nigerians. After These T€rrorists Collect Ransom Money From Nigerians, They Hand It Over To These Politicians, Who Then Use It To Fund Their Election Campaigns.”
The allegation has not been verified by any official authority.
Reacting to the claim, @balogun_onome suggested that the issue may involve more than politicians alone.
“Not just politicians only. There’s a particular group that are using it pay for more guns and the rest.”
