The Chayah Hope Foundation has provided humanitarian assistance to more than 1,200 internally displaced persons (IDPs) in Mangu Town and Pushit communities of Mangu Local Government Area, Plateau State.
The intervention, led by the foundation’s founder, Dr. Mrs. Martina Nentawe Yilwatda, included the distribution of food items and cash support to displaced families affected by ongoing challenges in the area.
Speaking during the outreach, Dr. Yilwatda said the initiative was part of the foundation’s commitment to supporting vulnerable communities and improving the welfare of people affected by displacement.
She noted that many displaced families continue to face difficult living conditions and emphasized the importance of practical humanitarian assistance in helping them rebuild their lives.
According to her, collective support and acts of compassion can help restore dignity and provide hope for families facing hardship. “Our commitment remains to reach underserved communities, support vulnerable persons and ensure that people affected by difficult circumstances receive the assistance they need,” she said.
Beneficiaries of the programme expressed appreciation for the intervention, describing the support as timely and helpful in meeting some of their immediate needs.The outreach forms part of the foundation’s broader humanitarian efforts aimed at assisting disadvantaged groups and promoting community welfare across Plateau State.
