The party also disclosed that a delegation from the Kwankwasiya Movement recently met with the national leadership of the NDC in a closed-door meeting aimed at resolving concerns surrounding the conduct of the primaries in Kano State.
According to the statement, the meeting involved the national leader of the party, Henry Seriake Dickson, and members of the NDC leadership, who are mediating discussions between the Kwankwasiya Movement and legacy party officials in Kano.
The NDC stated that the objective of the engagement was to promote inclusiveness and ensure that all stakeholders are adequately represented within the party.
The party further assured members that it would not impose candidates in Kano State or any other part of the country, emphasizing its commitment to internal democracy.
“The NDC leadership will not impose candidates in Kano State, and indeed across the nation, as the party cherishes the virtues of internal democracy,” the statement added.
The party described the meeting as productive and expressed optimism that ongoing consultations would strengthen unity and participation among its members ahead of future electoral activities.
