Niger Tornadoes Get New Chairman

The Governor of Niger state, Hon. Mohammed Umar Bago has appointment of Dr. Abubakar Kuso as Chairman Niger Tornadoes football club’s Management Commiittee.
Abubakar Abdullahi Kuso replaces the last occupant of the seat, Engineer Ibrahim Dada who is fully into politics, aspiring to represent Bosso/Paikoro Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives in the next dispensation.
Until his appointment, Dr. Abdullahi Kuso is the Executive Director of Planning and Design at the Upper River Niger Basin Development Authority overseeing the planning and designing of development projects in Kasuna, Niger and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja.
Governor Bago in a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Bologi Ibrahim, made available to sports journalists indicates that the appointment of Kuso is with immediate effect.
Expressing optimism that Dr. Kuso would be able to within shortest possible time turn things around for the state’s darling team through proactive measures ahead of next football season, Governor Bago told the new helmsman not to disappoint the team’s supporters and fans, but the entire football lovers in the state.
Governor Bago who congratulated Abdullahi Kutso on the appointment expressed confidence that he will put his wealth of experience into in taking Niger Tornadoes back to days of glory.
He encouraged members of the Niger Tornadoes management team to rally round the new Chairman and work for the bouncing back of the state’s darling team.
Niger Tornadoes football narrowly escaped relegation in the last NPFL season, and many sports analysts have attributed to poor managerial skills of the team’s handlers.
