‘Nobody Can Come Between Us’ — Datti Speaks on Relationship With Peter Obi

Former Labour Party vice-presidential candidate, Datti Baba Ahmed, has dismissed attempts to create a rift between him and former LP presidential candidate, Peter Obi, insisting that their relationship remains cordial despite belonging to different political parties.

Speaking during an interview on Sunday, Datti responded to criticisms that he failed to deliver his ward and local government area for the Labour Party during the 2023 general elections.

He stressed that Obi remains one of the politicians he holds in high regard, noting that their political differences have not affected the mutual respect they share.

According to him, although they are now members of different political parties, he continues to admire Obi for his record in public service and personal integrity.

“Nobody will cause a problem between me and my boss, Peter Obi. We can be in different parties today, but I still have respect for him as someone who governed and someone who doesn’t give shishi,” Datti said.

He added that the respect between them is mutual, insisting that no individual or group would be able to come between them.

“Peter Obi and I have mutual respect for each other, so nobody will come between us,” he stated.
