OK 2027: “Kwankwaso’s plan will soon be exposed but it’ll be too late for Peter Obi” — Primate Ayodele
A fresh controversy has emerged around the political alliance between Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, and former Kano State governor, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, following claims by the leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, that the partnership could jeopardise Obi’s presidential ambitions.
In a statement released through his media aide, Osho Oluwatosin, Ayodele alleged that Obi was allowing desperation to influence his political decisions and warned that he was placing his trust in the wrong people as reported by the Daily Post.
Ayodele questions Obi-Kwankwaso alliance
The cleric claimed that Obi had failed to heed what he described as divine guidance, insisting that the former Anambra State governor had become vulnerable to political miscalculations.
According to Ayodele, Kwankwaso is not fully committed to advancing Obi’s political aspirations and is instead pursuing personal interests.
“Peter Obi doesn’t listen to divine instructions, and because of this, he has fallen into the wrong hands for his ambition.
“Kwankwaso isn’t ready to fight for him; he will eventually sell him out, but he doesn’t know it yet. He has already muddled Obi’s presidential ambition,” he claimed.
‘Kwankwaso pursuing personal interests’
Ayodele further alleged that Kwankwaso’s involvement in the political arrangement was driven primarily by self-interest rather than a genuine commitment to Obi’s success.
The cleric maintained that he harboured no ill feelings towards Obi, whom he described as courageous, but argued that the former governor was not yet prepared for the nation’s highest office.
“Kwankwaso is doing everything for his personal interest and nothing more. I wish Obi’s eyes could be opened to what is happening around him, but he can’t see it. I don’t hate Peter Obi, I love him and his courage, but he is not yet mature for the position he is seeking.
“However, Kwankwaso’s plans will soon be exposed, but it will be too late for Peter Obi because he has gone very deep into it,” he added.
