RSF drone strike kills 9 civilians in North Darfur: Report

Sudanese rights group Emergency Lawyers said on Friday that attacks by the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) on civilian areas in the Malha and Um Baru towns of North Darfur State killed at least 9 civilians and caused widespread destruction, Anadolu reports.

In a statement, the group said RSF drones struck the Um Bayada market in Malha locality on Thursday, triggering a massive fire that destroyed the market and caused extensive damage to civilian property.

The group added that a passenger vehicle was also targeted at Sabreen market, killing 9 civilians and injuring others, with the death toll expected to rise due to ongoing attacks and difficult conditions on the ground.
