Controversial Nigerian singer and rapper Speed Darlington has opened up about his personal life, expressing disappointment over remaining unmarried and without children as he approaches the age of 60.
The entertainer, popularly known for his outspoken personality and unconventional public appearances, admitted that he feels unfulfilled despite having achieved some personal milestones, including securing American citizenship.
Speaking during a recent video broadcast shared online, the Akpi crooner reflected on his life and revealed that he longs for more meaningful accomplishments beyond the successes he has already attained.
According to the rapper, reaching his current age without a wife or children has prompted him to reassess his priorities and consider what he truly values in life.
“I am close to 60 with no wife or child. Is this how I am going to live my life? All I have to show is American papers. I want more than American papers out of life,” he said.
The singer added that what he now desires most is a stable family life, personal freedom and the respect that comes with building meaningful relationships.

According to the criteria he shared at the time, his ideal wife had to be dark-skinned, between the ages of 18 and 23, at least 5 feet 8 inches tall, weigh less than 150 pounds, and be fluent in both English and Igbo.

Despite the publicity surrounding the search, Speed Darlington has yet to find a life partner.
