Stan Nze Opens Up On Trust, Betrayal And Second Chances

Nigerian actor Stanley Ebuka Nzediegwu, also known professionally as ‘Stan Nze’, has revealed that he could forgive a partner who cheats, but only if there is genuine remorse and a willingness to change.

Speaking in a recent interview about trust and relationships, the actor said strong marriages can survive challenges when they are built on selfless love, kindness, and Christian values rather than on temporary feelings or attraction.

Nze added that forgiveness should not be mistaken for acceptance of repeated mistakes. According to him, healthy relationships require both grace and clear boundaries.

He said:

“Real love is enough, I’m not talking about ‘butterflies in your tummy’… not that. The love that Christ preached, the one that is agape, the love in Galatians 5:23, it’s not built on flesh, it’s genuine. The one that’s selfless, the one that’s kind, forgives easily because of the things that happen in marriage or a relationship that don’t make it work, the fact that you cannot forgive. Love is enough if it’s the right love.

“Absolutely, I can forgive cheating, but we shall not continue in sinning that grace might abound. So you would not be stupid, but if someone offends you or does something that’s not right, that’s what it is. It is not a licence to be stupid.”
