Tinubu Committed To Rescuing Abducted Oyo  Pupils – Shettima

Vice President Kashim Shettima has assured Nigerians that the Federal Government is making efforts to secure the release of children and other citizens currently being held by kidnappers and terrorist groups across the country.

Naijaonpoint reports that Shettima gave the assurance on Friday in Abuja after a special Jummat prayer held at the National Mosque as part of activities marking the 2026 Democracy Day celebration.

According to him, President Bola Tinubu remains focused on tackling insecurity and restoring peace, safety and stability in different parts of the country.

He said the administration is determined to overcome security challenges and bring lasting calm to affected communities.

The Vice President stated that the government would continue working towards ending violence and criminal activities, adding that the current security situation would not stop efforts to return normal life to Nigerians.

He also called on citizens to continue praying for the country and for one another.

Shettima said the bond that unites Nigerians is stronger than the differences that exist among the people, stressing the need for unity as the nation confronts its challenges.

“I want to assure Nigerians of President Bola Tinubu’s unwavering commitment towards restoring peace and stability in the nation.

“No matter how long the night is, it must give way to the light of dawn. Stormy as the weather may be, it will not rain forever.

“The government remains irrevocably committed to restoring peace and stability in the nation,” Shettima said.
