Tinubu’s 2027 Campaign Will Be Structured Around His Achievements, Says Olusi

The chairman of the Board of Trustees of the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu Independent Campaign Group (PBAT ICG), Tajudeen Oluyole Olusi, has said that his re-election bid in 2027 will be driven by a campaign anchored on his verifiable achievements since assuming office in 2023.
He stated this in Lagos at a strategic stakeholders’ meeting of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and its victory in the 2027 general elections.
According to Olusi, President Tinubu has presided over far-reaching economic reforms aimed at repositioning Nigeria for sustainable growth, restoring fiscal discipline and laying a solid foundation for long-term prosperity.
He noted that under the Tinubu administration, Nigeria has recorded increased revenue generation, improved allocation to states and local governments, renewed investor confidence and a gradual reduction in the country’s dependence on borrowing for recurrent expenditure.
Olusi said the administration’s removal of the fuel subsidy and the unification of the foreign exchange market, though difficult decisions, were necessary measures that have helped stabilise the economy and attract fresh investments into key sectors.
He further highlighted the implementation of the Students Loan Scheme, the establishment of the Consumer Credit Scheme, the take-off of the Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) initiative, increased infrastructure development across the country, and the recapitalisation of the health sector. He renewed attention to agriculture and food security as notable milestones of the administration.
“President Tinubu’s 2027 campaign will not be built on empty promises but on concrete achievements that Nigerians can see and evaluate. The Renewed Hope Agenda is already yielding positive results, and more benefits will become evident as ongoing reforms mature,” Olusi said.
In his address, the convener of the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu Independent campaign, PBAT ICG, Dr Seyi Bamigbade, said the government has intensified efforts to combat insecurity, improved oil production levels, and strengthened social investment programmes targeted at vulnerable Nigerians.
He maintained that the administration remains committed to building a resilient economy, creating jobs, expanding opportunities for young people and ensuring that every part of the country benefits from good governance.
Bamigbade called on members and supporters of the PBAT KOH ICG in Lagos and across the federation to continue mobilising support for the President while engaging citizens on the gains of the Renewed Hope Agenda and Dr Kadri Obafemi Hamzat as the next Governor of Lagos State.
