A frontline All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief Emmanuel Ejiofor, has restated his belief that Nigeria is steadily navigating a path of stability and gradual recovery under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Chief Ejiofor, a political stakeholder in Delta State, placed strong emphasis on the need for unity, patience, and collective responsibility among Nigerians as the nation continues to grapple with reforms aimed at long-term prosperity.
He noted that recent national milestones, particularly the celebration of Democracy Day, reflect the endurance of Nigeria’s democratic journey and the continued effort to preserve national cohesion despite internal and external pressures.
According to him, the present administration remains firmly committed to democratic principles and is steering the country through a challenging but necessary transition period designed to reposition the economy and strengthen governance structures.
Ejiofor maintained that governance in difficult times requires sacrifice and determination, stressing that leadership must often make hard decisions to secure long-term national stability and growth.
He further argued that Nigeria, when assessed against the backdrop of the administration’s starting point, is currently on a more stable footing, urging citizens to remain patient as reforms begin to take fuller effect.
Addressing the economic situation, he acknowledged the hardship being experienced across the country, but insisted that such challenges are not unique to Nigeria alone.
He drew comparisons with global economic pressures affecting both developing and advanced economies, including the United States, suggesting that external factors have significantly influenced domestic conditions. Despite this, he expressed optimism that ongoing economic reforms are beginning to show early signs of improvement.
On security, he described the situation as complex but not insurmountable, expressing confidence that coordinated efforts, including international partnerships, will contribute to strengthening national safety mechanisms.
He added that diplomatic engagement by the administration reflects a commitment to ensuring peace and stability across the country.
Chief Ejiofor also commended the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, for what he described as impactful interventions targeted at women and the girl-child, noting that such initiatives contribute meaningfully to national development efforts.
Oluremi Tinubu has, in recent times, been associated with empowerment programmes aimed at improving welfare outcomes for vulnerable groups, including school-age girls.
“Her initiatives, such as the distribution of sanitary pads to schoolgirls nationwide, are lauded as tangible examples of her commitment to social welfare and empowerment, complementing the President’s vision for a thriving society,” he said.
He further urged Nigerians to maintain confidence in the direction of the current administration, stressing the importance of unity and sustained optimism as key drivers of national progress.
At the centre of his message, Ejiofor reinforced the belief that collective resilience, trust in leadership, and continued prayers remain essential as the country navigates economic and security transitions.
He stated that ongoing reforms are designed to deliver long-term democratic dividends and strengthen the foundations of national development.
“This comprehensive perspective aims to solidify public confidence, highlighting the substantial democratic dividends being cultivated under the current leadership and the vital, supportive role of the First Lady in achieving national aspirations,” he said.
