US military says carrying out ‘self-defence strikes’ against Iran

WASHINGTON – The United States launched a new round of air strikes against Iran on the evening of June 10, the US military said, in the second straight day of American attacks on the Islamic republic.
American forces began “additional self-defense strikes today at 5.15pm ET against multiple targets in Iran,” US Central Command said in a post on X, adding: “The strikes are in response to Iran’s unwarranted and continued aggression.” AFP
