Nollywood actress Yvonne Jegede has sparked fresh conversations online after sharing a satirical take on the different categories of supporters of President Bola Tinubu, a post that quickly went viral and drew mixed reactions across social media.
In her post, she humorously but critically outlined what she called “3 Types of Tinubu supporters”, grouping them into categories based on their mindset, belief system, and emotional connection to the current administration.
She described the first group as “the ‘we don enter am’ … these ones know in their heart that nothing makes sense but they have ties they can’t break.”
According to her, this set refers to people who may already feel disappointed with the situation but continue to show support because of obligations, connections, or circumstances they cannot easily walk away from.
The second group, she labelled as “the ‘believers’… these ones that believe something will happen eventually, maybe another tenure and things will get better.”
She explained this category as those who still maintain hope that things will improve with time, believing that future policies or another term in office could eventually bring positive change despite present challenges.
For the final category, she wrote, “the ‘delusional ones’ … These ones live in a bubble. these ones??? just be praying for them, when you are praying for people in the psychiatric wards, include them.”
Her satirical breakdown has since generated widespread debate online, with some social media users finding it funny and relatable, while others criticised the tone and interpretation of her remarks.
