Following extensive consultations with key party leaders from the three Senatorial Districts, a 5-member committee was established to evaluate and recommend a suitable deputy candidate. This committee, chaired by ADC National Auditor, Alhaji Mai Adamu Mustapha, also included notable members such as Abdulhamid Buba, Alhaji Yahaya Bukar, Alhaji Umar Kalli, and Mamu Alh Muhammad.

The committee utilized a stringent set of criteria, assessing candidates on their academic qualifications, political experience, loyalty to the party, integrity, and potential electoral value. Lawan Mahammed Kori, an acclaimed politician with a history of serving the Nangere/Potiskum Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives from 2007 to 2011, was ultimately selected for his loyalty and grassroots support within the party.

In a statement, Dr. Mamu Muhammed, State Party Secretary, urged all stakeholders and the citizens of Yobe State to rally behind the new team, emphasizing their commitment to bringing peace, progress, and prosperity to the state.

As the ADC prepares for the electoral battle ahead, the party’s leadership believes this pairing will enhance their chances of success in the upcoming elections, ultimately serving the interests of the people of Yobe State.
