Adewuyi Frances Takes Over As NYSC Ogun Coordinator, Begins New Leadership Chapter

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Ogun State, on 15thJuly 2026, witnessed a smooth leadership transition as the outgoing State Coordinator, Mrs. Olayinka Diana Nasamu, formally handed over the baton of leadership to the new State Coordinator, Mrs. Omolabake Frances Adewuyi, during a takeover and handover ceremony held at the NYSC State Secretariat, Oke-ilewo, Abeokuta.

In her farewell address, Mrs. Nasamu, who was recently appointed Acting Director, South-South Area Office II, expressed appreciation to members of staff for their unwavering support, dedication, and loyalty throughout her tenure.

She attributed the achievements recorded under her administration to the collective efforts of the workforce.

Earlier at a meeting held with the Management team, Nasamu urged them to extend the same level of cooperation to her successor and encouraged them to remain committed to the effective discharge of their duties.

She added, “Anytime I hear from Ogun State, it will be good news from my side and from your side.”

While reflecting on her tenure as the 27th Chief Executive of the affairs of NYSC Ogun State, she remarked, “I came in peace, I worked in peace, and I am leaving in peace.”

In her acceptance speech, the 28th State Coordinator, Mrs. Omobalake Frances Adewuyi, thanked God for the opportunity to serve and described Mrs. Nasamu an iconic and inspiring leader.

She pledged to build on the strong foundation laid by her predecessor and commended the members of staff for their hard work, dedication, and professionalism.

The ceremony featured goodwill messages and tributes from staff in honour of Mrs. Nasamu, while Mrs. Adewuyi was warmly welcomed to Ogun State.
