APC Guber Candidate Gifts Rescued Oyo Principal New Camry After Kidnappers Burnt Her Car

- APC governorship candidate Sharafadeen Alli has donated a brand-new Toyota Camry to rescued school principal Mrs. Rachael Folake Alamu after her vehicle was burnt during the Oriire school abduction.
- The gesture was described as recognition of her courage and resilience following her release from captivity.
- While many praised the donation as a thoughtful act, others questioned why only the principal was honoured, calling for similar support for other victims and the families of those who lost their lives.
Oyo State APC governorship candidate, Senator Sharafadeen Alli, has gifted a brand-new Toyota Camry to Mrs. Rachael Folake Alamu, the principal of Community High School, Esiele, whose vehicle was burnt during the abduction of pupils and teachers in Oriire Local Government Area. The donation was made in recognition of her courage and resilience after surviving the 56-day ordeal.
Mrs. Alamu was among the teachers abducted alongside pupils during the May 15 attack on Community High School, Esiele, and Yawota Baptist Nursery and Primary School. Following her rescue, a viral video showed the visibly emotional principal asking security operatives about her husband and her car. She later explained that she initially believed the vehicle had been recovered before discovering that the kidnappers had burnt it.
Presenting the vehicle, Alli praised the principal for her bravery and commitment to the safety and welfare of the abducted pupils throughout their captivity, describing the gift as a gesture of solidarity with victims of insecurity and support for her recovery.
The donation has generated mixed reactions on social media.
