The Governatorial candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Gombe State, Dr Jamilu Isiyaku Gwamna, has applauded the restructuring of the State Executive Council by Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya.
The Governor had sworn-in 23 Commissioners, the Head of the State Civil Service, Permanent Secretaries and some Special Advisers Saturday afternoon, which saw an increase in the number of Ministries in the State from 18 to 23.
Jamilu Gwamna described the action as a bold and strategic step towards strengthening governance through the expansion of the State Executive Council.
According Ibrahim Sani Shawai, Jamilu’s Spokesman, in a statement to newsmen, Sunday afternoon, the APC Governorship candidate noted that the restructuring would enhance institutional efficiency, improve service delivery, and better position the Government to respond to emerging developmental priorities.
Dr. Gwamna described the appointments as well deserved, expressing confidence in their competence, experience, and commitment to advancing the development of Gombe State through dedicated public service.
He urged them to justify the confidence reposed in them by Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, through hard work, integrity, and unwavering commitment to the welfare and aspirations of the people of Gombe State.
Jamilu particularly applauded the establishment of the Ministries of Humanitarian Affairs and Livestock Development, describing the move as timely and forward-looking.
“The new ministries align with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda while addressing critical sectors with significant potential to improve livelihoods, strengthen social protection, and drive economic growth in Gombe State” Gwamna added.
He called on the newly inaugurated officials to work as a team, uphold the highest standards of accountability and professionalism, and remain focused on delivering tangible results that will positively impact the lives of the people.
Dr. Gwamna also urged the people of Gombe State to continue supporting the APC-led administration, stressing that unity, peace, and collective responsibility remain essential to sustaining the remarkable progress recorded in the state.
He then expressed confidence that the continued achievements of the APC at both the State and national levels would further strengthen public confidence in the party and translate into overwhelming victory for the APC in the 2027 general elections, including the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the election of APC candidates across Gombe State and the country at large.
