Former Big Brother Naija housemate Doyin David has shared candid advice with contestants set to participate in the highly anticipated BBNaija Season 11, urging them to be authentic and avoid fading into the background during the competition.
Speaking at the Big Brother Naija Season 11 pre-show media launch in Lagos on Thursday, Doyin encouraged the incoming housemates to fully express themselves without allowing fear of public opinion or criticism to dictate their actions.
According to the reality TV star, contestants should focus on making the most of the opportunity rather than worrying excessively about protecting their public image.
“My advice to the incoming BBNaija Season 11 housemates is, don’t be boring, don’t be a furniture,” she said.
“Don’t be scared of people judging you.”
Doyin stressed that one of the biggest mistakes contestants can make is trying too hard to please viewers or avoid controversy, noting that authenticity often resonates more with audiences than carefully scripted behaviour.
“Say whatever you want to say and do whatever you want to do. You will deal with consequences later,” she added.

She noted that not every contestant would find close friendships during the show and urged participants to learn how to enjoy their own company rather than depending on others for validation.
“Also, learn how to have fun by yourself,” she said.
“When you are in that house, you might not have a lot of friends but you need to be able to stand alone and don’t be depressed about it.”
