A Federal High Court sitting in Lagos has adjourned the alleged N460.75 million fraud case involving Austin Albert, Managing Director of Loft & Keys Ltd and Loft & Keys LLC, Dubai, until October 5, 2026.

The case was postponed after Albert’s counsel informed the court that his client was undergoing major surgery in Dubai and was unable to attend proceedings.

Austin Albert is the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Loft & Keys Ltd and Loft & Keys LLC, Dubai, currently facing allegations of forgery, money laundering and an alleged N460.75 million fraud before a Federal High Court Lagos.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) is prosecuting Albert and others over allegations bordering on fraud and obtaining money under false pretences.

Justice Chukwujekwu Aneke granted the adjournment and fixed October 5 for the defendants’ arraignment. The court was told that Albert’s absence was due to medical reasons, with supporting documents presented by the defence.

The matter was subsequently adjourned to allow the defendant appear before the court on the next scheduled date.
