Cutix Plc, one of West Africa’s leading manufacturers of electrical and telecommunications cables, has successfully concluded its participation at the 20th Africa International Housing Show (AIHS 2026), held at the Transcorp Hilton, Abuja, from July 13 to 18, 2026, where it drew significant industry attention with its innovative electrical safety solutions.
Throughout the six-day exhibition, the company engaged hundreds of local and international estate developers, engineering contractors, architects, and government officials. Its exhibition pavilion prominently featured a range of fire-resistant and high-durability power cables, earning commendation from building and construction experts across the continent.
A major highlight of Cutix Plc’s showcase was its proprietary flame-retardant insulation technology, engineered to mitigate the devastating impact of building fires. The advanced cables are designed to suppress combustion by starving flames of fuel, enabling self-extinguishing within 0 to 1 seconds while restricting flame spread to a maximum of 250 millimetres. The company also displayed its Cross-Linked Polyethylene (XLPE) low-voltage power cables and heat-treated annealed copper conductors, which enhance flexibility and prevent breakage during installation.
Visitors were treated to live demonstrations underscoring the company’s strict adherence to safety specifications, including precise cable diameters such as 1.78 mm for 2.5 mm² cables and 2.25 mm for 4.0 mm² cables. Cutix Plc further reinforced its customer-focused retail policy by guaranteeing a standard coil length of 100.5 metres, thereby safeguarding contractors against shortages and financial discrepancies.
The Convener of AIHS and Chief Executive Officer of Fesadeb Communications Ltd, Barrister Festus Adebayo, commended the company’s participation, noting its contribution to advancing innovation at Africa’s leading marketplace for real estate, construction, finance, and housing professionals.
The exhibition also generated strong sales leads and strategic partnership inquiries from participants across West Africa.
