A young woman has sparked debate on social media after recounting the unexpected marriage advice she received from a wealthy married woman during a recent visit.
According to the lady, the married woman appeared to have what many would consider a dream life. She reportedly owned a luxurious duplex registered in her name and drove high-end vehicles, including a Mercedes-Benz, a Lexus and a G-Wagon.
Despite her apparent financial success, the woman was said to be visibly stressed after her nanny failed to show up for work for two consecutive days.
The visitor explained that the woman had to personally prepare her children and take them to school because there was no domestic help available.
While carrying out the morning routine, the married woman allegedly offered some candid advice that caught her guest completely off guard.
“Ronke, don’t rush into marriage. There’s nothing inside marriage. If I could go back, I’d enjoy my life more before getting married,” she reportedly said.
The remark surprised the visitor, who admitted she found it difficult to reconcile the woman’s words with her seemingly luxurious lifestyle.
Reflecting on the encounter, she joked that her mind was focused on the material comfort she had witnessed rather than the warning she received.
“All that was going through my mind was: ‘Aunty, I don’t need this advice. Let’s just swap roles for one day,’” she wrote.
