ABUJA – The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board has commenced registration for intending pilgrims seeking to perform the 2027 Hajj, with a minimum initial deposit of N7.5 million set as a prerequisite for participation.
In a statement issued on Friday by the Board’s Chief Information Officer, Ahmad Saleh, prospective pilgrims were advised to obtain a bank draft of N7,500,000 from any commercial bank, payable to the FCT Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, Abuja, and submit it on or before September 25, 2026, the deadline approved by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON).
According to the Board, the bank draft must be submitted at its headquarters in Gudu District, Abuja, near the FCT Judicial Service Complex, where registration will be completed.
Applicants are required to present a valid international passport with validity extending to at least October 2027, a photocopy of their National Identification Number (NIN) slip, four recent passport photographs with a white background, as well as the identification details, passport photograph and valid contact information of a guarantor.
The Board stressed that it would not accept cash payments or registrations carried out through proxies, urging intending pilgrims to comply strictly with the registration guidelines.
It advised interested applicants to complete the registration process before the closing date to secure their participation in the 2027 Hajj exercise.
