Gov. Kefas Reaffirms Commitment to Education Reforms in Taraba

Taraba State Governor, Agbu Kefas, has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to education reforms, with continued investment in infrastructure, teacher development and digital learning to expand access to quality education across the state.

Kefas stated this during the 2026 Valedictory Service of Deeper Life High School, Jalingo, themed “The Uncommon Champions.” He was represented at the event by the Commissioner for Secondary, Technical and Vocational Education, Dr. Augustina Godwin.The governor said his administration would continue to prioritise school infrastructure, instructional materials, teacher capacity development and policies aimed at improving academic outcomes.

He said the government’s education agenda was designed to ensure that children across Taraba, regardless of their background or location, have access to quality education and the skills needed to compete in a changing global economy. Kefas commended the school’s management for promoting academic excellence, discipline and moral development, while congratulating the graduating Class of 2026.

Godwin also reaffirmed the government’s commitment to improving learning outcomes, strengthening technical and vocational education and enhancing teacher effectiveness. The ceremony featured prayers, cultural performances, award presentations and the presentation of certificates to graduating students. It was attended by education stakeholders, traditional and religious leaders, parents and other dignitaries.
