Taraba State Governor, Agbu Kefas, has reaffirmed his administration’s support for faith-based organisations and religious harmony, announcing the allocation of a permanent site for the Taraba State Association of Gospel Artists (TASAGA).
Kefas, who is the Grand Patron of TASAGA, made the announcement through the Secretary to the State Government, Gebon Timothy Kataps Ngwii, during the association’s 2026 Annual Concert and Opening Ceremony in Gembu, Sardauna Local Government Area.The SSG said the governor was unable to attend the event because of an international engagement in Liberia, where he received the Golden Image Presidential Excellence Award.
According to him, the governor approved the permanent site to support TASAGA’s activities and future expansion. Kataps, who joined worshippers during the event, urged Christians to reflect on their relationship with God and demonstrate their faith through their actions.
The Executive Chairman of Sardauna Local Government Area, Muhammad Umar Jiriji, described the annual gathering as an event that promotes Christian fellowship and moral values.TASAGA Vision Bearer, Paul Jonah, commended the governor for his support and partnership with faith-based organisations.
In his keynote address, Rev. Olu Bodun E. Davidson urged Christians to embrace genuine worship, obedience and righteous living. He cautioned against division and rivalry among denominations and called for greater commitment to prayer and the teachings of the Bible.
The Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Sardauna LGA Chapter, Rev. Isaac Abidoye, also urged believers to demonstrate their faith through godly conduct and service. The event featured gospel performances and attracted government officials, traditional rulers, religious leaders, gospel ministers and worshippers from across Taraba State.
