A serving Nigerian Army officer, Colonel Abdussalam Ude, has been k+lled after suspected g¥nmen reportedly att@cked his residence in the Kurudu area of Abuja during what authorities believe was an attempted abd¥ction.

The att@ck reportedly occurred on Monday evening shortly after the senior officer returned home from work. According to sources, the assailants allegedly attempted to abd¥ct either the colonel or members of his family before the incident turned vi%lent.

Colonel Ude was fatally sh+t during the att@ck, while his wife, driver and security guard sustained g+nshot injuries. The three victims were reportedly rushed to a hospital, where they are receiving treatment.

The exact motive behind the att@ck has not been officially established. However, security agencies and military authorities have launched investigations to identify and apprehend those responsible.

Colonel Ude, who was said to be from Enugu State, served in the Nigerian Army Intelligence Corps and held several strategic intelligence and counter-terrorism appointments throughout his military career.

He reportedly participated in operations against insurgents in Nigeria’s North-East and was also deployed on international assignments in the Republic of Chad and France, where he contributed to intelligence and security cooperation.
