“He Asked Me to Be His Girlfriend in the Morning, Dumped Me by Evening” — Lady Shares Tinder Dating Experience

A Nigerian woman has gone viral after recounting how a man she met on Tinder allegedly asked her to be his girlfriend in the morning, only to end the relationship later that same day after she requested transport fare.

According to the lady, they met on the dating app and communicated regularly for more than a month before meeting in person.

She said the man invited her to a party, paid for her Bolt ride, treated her kindly and repeatedly assured her that he was genuinely looking for a serious relationship.

“He told me he wasn’t on Tinder for games and that he wanted a serious relationship. We kept talking, and I believed he was different from other Abuja guys,” she recalled.

The woman said she later opened up to him about her financial struggles and her dream of starting a business. According to her, he promised to support her financially.

She further alleged that he later invited her to his home, prepared a meal for her and spent the evening discussing how his previous relationship had ended after his ex-girlfriend allegedly betrayed him.

The following morning, she claimed he served her breakfast in bed before asking her to be his girlfriend, a proposal she happily accepted.

“As I was leaving, I told him I didn’t have money for my Bolt ride home, and he promised to send my transport fare and the money to support my business once I got home,” she said.

However, she alleged that when she reminded him of the promised money later that evening, his attitude changed dramatically.

According to her, the man accused her of trying to “bill” him, abruptly ended the relationship and blocked her across all communication platforms.

The story has since generated widespread reactions online, with social media users expressing differing opinions on financial expectations in relationships, keeping promises, and the challenges of modern dating.
