Healing Has Come to Nigeria Through President Tinubu — Minister of Works
The Minister of Works, Dave Umahi, has said President Bola Tinubu was divinely sent to heal and rebuild Nigeria, citing ongoing infrastructure projects as evidence of the administration’s impact.
The minister made the remarks while inspecting a road project in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State, stating that the Federal Government’s road construction projects were not only improving connectivity but also creating jobs and stimulating economic activities across the country.
According to him, the quality of roads being delivered under the Tinubu administration demonstrates the President’s commitment to national development.
“I think healing has come to the land through President Bola Tinubu, and the evidence is there. You can see the road you have been plying from Abakaliki to this point,” Umahi said.
He described road infrastructure as a critical driver of economic growth, noting that improved roads reduce travel time and enhance productivity.
Addressing concerns about hunger and unemployment, Umahi argued that ongoing infrastructure projects were generating thousands of jobs and helping to curb crime.
“When people talk about hunger, do you see the sea of heads that are employed by these companies doing this job?” he asked.
“If this infrastructure is not going on, these people will be on the road; some might even be tempted to become kidnappers.”
The minister added that road construction was also boosting local businesses, with increased demand for construction materials and other goods.
“I stopped over there to buy garden eggs. The person selling them has created value. Sand is being sold, chippings are being sold, iron rods are being sold, cement is being sold, and all these are local contents,” he said.
Umahi maintained that the Tinubu administration’s infrastructure drive was contributing significantly to employment generation and economic development across the country.
