LAGOS – Hon. John Kome, a seasoned politician and a chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has clocked 60.
Dr. Kome, the 2015 House of Assembly candidate for Ikeja State Constituency 1, and a one-time chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), in a statement made available to Sunday Independent, said he will be celebrating his birthday, not with a social party, but in way that will be beneficial to the Nigerian society.
According to Kome, also an educationist and Christian leader, he will be celebrating his birthday today, Sunday July 5, 2026 in a way that will be memorable, not only to him and his family, but to the Nigerian citizens in general.
To this end, he informed that he has invited his friends, political associates, ministerial and educational partners to a leadership lecture themed ‘Christians In Politics Not An Option’.
Kome said in the statement that the event, which will be held at God’s Kingdom Christian Centre International, 4/6 Ojodu Abiodun Road, close to JUSTRITE Mall, Ojodu Berger, Lagos, will begin by 10.am.
He also informed that the Parents of the Day for the event are Chief and Dr. Mrs Bode George, also PDP chieftains, while the Guest Lecturer is Mazi Sam Ohuabunwa.
Kome urged the general public, including politicians from all political parties, Christians and Church leaders from different denominations as well as the members of civil society organisations (CSOs) and various youth groups, to attend this important event as the lecture will be of general and national interest.
