Jared Leto Decries Misconduct Allegations And Claims He Has Never ‘Sexually Assaulted’ Anyone In His ‘Entire Life’
Jared Leto has denied allegations of sexual misconduct after a BBC documentary featured claims from multiple women who described alleged encounters with the actor and musician dating back more than a decade.
The Oscar winner called the accusations “absolutely and categorically false” following allegations that some incidents involved teenage girls.
The documentary also included accounts from former crew members of Jared Leto’s band, “Thirty Seconds to Mars,” who alleged staff were uncomfortable with some of his interactions with young female fans.
Jared Leto has strongly denied allegations of sexual misconduct after a series of accusations were made against him in a recent documentary investigation.
In a statement to TMZ, the Oscar-winning actor rejected the claims outright, saying: “I have never sexually assaulted anyone in my entire life. These claims are absolutely and categorically false.”
The denial comes after several women alleged that Leto engaged in inappropriate sexual behavior or made sexual advances toward them when they were teenagers.
One accuser claimed the actor assaulted her in a motel bathroom when she was 17, while another alleged that he threatened to assault her sexually when she was 19.
A third woman said she had a sexual relationship with Leto at age 17 and claimed he dismissed concerns about California’s legal age of consent during a conversation.
Another alleged that Leto groomed her through sexually explicit phone conversations when she was 16 before later asking her to sign a non-disclosure agreement, which she declined.

5The allegations were explored in the BBC documentary “Jared Leto: Hollywood’s Dark Secret,” which featured accounts from 10 women describing alleged interactions with the actor over more than a decade.
According to the program, many of the women’s claims were supported by contemporaneous accounts from friends and family members who said they were told about the incidents at the time. The BBC also reported reviewing photographs and messages that it said were consistent with some of the allegations.
The documentary additionally included interviews with two former members of Leto’s band’s crew, who claimed staff were often uncomfortable with the actor’s interactions with teenage girls. They alleged that young female fans were sometimes invited backstage after shows or to properties where music was being recorded. “I think everyone thought the age gap was way too big,” one former crew member said.
Leto, now 54, has categorically denied all allegations made against him, insisting the claims are false.
Woman Says She Spent Years Blaming Herself After Alleged Encounter With Jared Leto
5Among those featured in the documentary was a woman identified under the pseudonym “Isabel”, who alleged that she was sexually assaulted by Leto in 2002 when she was 17 years old.
Now in her 40s, Isabel said she spent years blaming herself for what she claims happened. “Most of my life I had viewed this event as, I was a stupid girl… and so this bad thing happened,” she said.
According to her account, she met Leto while working at a store in Las Vegas and later agreed to meet him after showing him and his friends around the area. She said she was given the address of what she expected would be a meeting point before going elsewhere, but instead arrived at what she described as a “dingy, gross motel.”
Isabel alleged that while waiting in the room, Leto invited her into the bathroom while he showered. She claimed the encounter then became sexual without warning and said she eventually told him she wanted to leave.
She further alleged that it was only afterward, when she searched for information about the actor online, that she realized he was in his 30s at the time.

5The documentary also examined claims about Leto’s interactions with young women during the height of “Thirty Seconds to Mars’” success in the 2010s.
A former crew member, identified as “Brad”, alleged that local modeling agencies were occasionally contacted before concerts and asked to provide female models with complimentary VIP tickets.
Brad claimed such requests came directly from Leto and said he felt uncomfortable with the instruction to recruit only women.
Another woman, identified as Alex, said her modeling agency was invited to attend a “Thirty Seconds to Mars” concert at London’s O2 Arena in 2013. She alleged that she later attended an after-party following an invitation from one of Leto’s assistants.

5Alex, who was 19 at the time, claimed she deliberately told Leto she was 17 because she felt safer presenting herself as younger.
The model alleged that when she told Leto she was 17, he responded by saying: “Age is just a number, and anyway, we’re in Europe.”
The actor rose to prominence in the 1990s and won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his performance in “Dallas Buyers Club” in 2014.
