Kaduna PDP Governorship Candidate Condemns Naridon Attack, Calls for Urgent Security Action

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in Kaduna State, Usman Shehu Bawa, popularly known as ABG, has condemned the reported killing of residents of Naridon village in Kauru Local Government Area, calling for urgent action to prevent further attacks. In a statement issued on Monday, Bawa expressed concern over the reported attack, which allegedly left several residents dead, while homes were destroyed and families displaced.
He urged the Federal Government, Kaduna State Government and security agencies to strengthen security in Kauru and other vulnerable communities across the state.The PDP candidate called for a thorough investigation into the incident and urged security agencies to identify and prosecute those responsible if found culpable.
Bawa also appealed for immediate humanitarian assistance for survivors, injured victims and displaced families who may have lost loved ones, homes and livelihoods. He advocated stronger collaboration among traditional institutions, community leaders and security agencies to improve local intelligence and early warning systems. According to him, traditional rulers and community leaders should be supported to contribute to efforts aimed at protecting rural communities while ensuring that such measures do not promote profiling or discrimination.
Bawa urged residents to remain calm and avoid reprisals, while expressing condolences to the families of the victims and wishing those injured a speedy recovery. He said the incident underscored the need for sustained efforts to protect lives and property and restore peace and public confidence across Kaduna State.
