The Nasarawa State Government has visited Benue State Government to understudy its operational framework and enhance the effectiveness of its agricultural programmes, particularly the implementation of the Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Project (RAAMP).
According to the delegation led by the Nasarawa State Commissioner for Agriculture and Food Security, Tanko Tungwa, alongside the State Project Coordinator of RAAMP in Nasarawa, Muhammad Waziri, Benue State RAAMP has recorded remarkable successes in the implementation of the project, making it a model worthy of study.
Nasarawa State Commissioner for Agriculture and Food Security, Tanko Tungwa, noted that, the visit was aimed at learning from Benue’s best practices and leveraging its experience to strengthen the operational framework and performance of RAAMP in Nasarawa State.
The Benue State Project Coordinator of RAAMP, Stephen Numbeve, presented the visiting delegation to the Benue State Commissioner for Agriculture and Food Security, Dr Benjamin Ashaver, for a consultative meeting.
In his remarks, the Commissioner for Agriculture and Food Security who welcomed the delegation to Benue described inter-state collaboration and knowledge sharing, as essential to improving agricultural development, rural infrastructure, and market access across Nigeria.
Ashaver reaffirmed Benue State Government’s commitment to supporting partnerships that promote innovation and excellence in the agricultural sector.
