Nigerian Army Strengthens Firepower with Modern Weapons, Advanced Technology

The Nigerian Army has significantly bolstered its operational capacity with the acquisition of modern weapons, armoured vehicles, and advanced technology platforms aimed at decisively tackling insecurity across the country.
This development comes amid ongoing deliveries of locally manufactured Vanquisher Armoured Personnel Carriers (APCs), Arquus Dagger tactical vehicles, as well as newly procured helicopters, drones, and other cutting-edge military assets.
The renewed investment in defence capabilities is backed by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s commitment to military modernisation and the promotion of local defence production, a strategy expected to enhance efficiency, sustainability, and rapid response in combat operations.
Military authorities say the upgraded arsenal is already shifting the momentum in favour of security forces in the fight against banditry, terrorism, and other forms of criminality threatening national stability.
With these advancements, there is growing optimism that peace and security are within reach, as citizens are urged to continue supporting the efforts of the armed forces in safeguarding the nation.
