Okpella Traditional Ruler Constructs 1.5km Road, Builds Police Station To Mark One Year Reign

The Okuokpellagbe of Okpella, HRH Micheal Sado has inaugurated a 1.5km MCC road and the building of the Nigeria Police Force Area Command office in Okpella in Etsako East Local Government Area of Edo State to mark his one year on the throne.
The projects inaugurated are the construction of Vigilantes office and the building of Okpella Finance Limited.
Speaking while inaugurating the projects, Sado said the projects were in fulfilment of his promise to the people of the community.
He listed other projects completed and ongoing to include 1km internal road, in Iddo community, 1.5km Imiegieke and Awuyemi road, purchase of drone to provide credible information on security in the area.
Others are, vigilante house, construction of courts, scholarship to indigent students, supply of free electricity to the entire Okpella, construction of building for Okpella Finance Limited and empowerment of 48 women with cash to start up business.
“You will recall that on my coronation as Okuokpellagbe, I listed my mission and vision for my community.
“I am pleased to report that my administration in the last one year has delivered on all the promises made to my people.
“Today’s celebration is not about long speech, rather it presents the best opportunity for me to present my score card and allow you to be the judge,” Sado said.
The traditional ruler thanked the people of the community for ensuring peace and unity in the community for the last one year.
He solicited their support to deliver more dividends to the community.
The Commissioner of Police, CP Monday Agbonika commended the traditional ruler for the initiative, particularly for giving the police a befitting area command building.
“This building of the area command would enhance adequate security in Okpella and it’s environ,” he said.
Earlier, the traditional ruler was at the St. Patrick Catholic Church for a thanksgiving service to celebrate his one year on the throne.
Other traditional rulers at the ceremony are the Ogieneni of Uzairue, HRH Kadiri Imonikhe, Olope of Okpe Oba Eshiemokha Idogun 111, the Idonigie of South Ivie, Kelvin Danesi, the Ogiaga of 3 Ivie Alli Sulieman amongst others.
