Peller still in police custody – Influencer Tunde Perry alleges

Nigerian content creator and influencer Tunde Perry has alleged that fellow social media personality Peller has remained in police custody since Friday, raising concerns among fans over the TikToker’s prolonged absence from social media.
Speaking during a TikTok livestream, Tunde Perry claimed that Peller was arrested while returning home from a content shoot in the Lekki area of Lagos and has yet to be released.
According to him, the incident has kept the popular content creator offline for several days, prompting speculation from followers about his whereabouts.
“Peller has been in police station since Friday. He is still there till now. That is why he has not been online,” Tunde Perry said during the livestream.
He further alleged that although the arrest initially took place in Lekki, the case has since been transferred to Ikeja.
“The incident happened in Lekki, but it has now been transferred to Ikeja,” he added.

According to Tunde Perry, Peller was reportedly stopped by law enforcement officers over alleged traffic-related issues involving the vehicle he was driving.
He claimed the TikToker was arrested for driving a vehicle with tinted windows and without a number plate.
As of the time of filing this report, the police have not publicly confirmed the arrest or disclosed the circumstances surrounding the alleged detention.
Similarly, Peller’s management has yet to release an official statement addressing the claims.
The allegations come amid growing concern from fans who noticed the sudden silence on Peller’s social media accounts.
A review of his online activity shows that his last public post was made on Friday, lending further attention to claims that he has been unable to access his social media platforms.
The reported arrest also followed another incident earlier that same day.
According to reports, Peller had an encounter with a group of area boys at the location where he was filming content in Lekki.
The individuals allegedly demanded ₦250,000 from the TikTok star before allowing activities at the location to continue.
Although details surrounding that encounter remain unclear, reports suggest the alleged police arrest occurred shortly after the incident.
The development has sparked widespread reactions across social media, where fans have expressed concern about the influencer’s welfare while calling for clarity regarding his situation.
Some users urged the authorities to provide an official update if he is indeed in custody, while others cautioned against concluding the police issue a formal statement.
Peller has built a large following across TikTok and other social media platforms through comedy skits, livestreams and collaborations with fellow creators.
His popularity has grown significantly over the past year, making him one of Nigeria’s most recognisable online personalities.
In recent weeks, he has remained in the public spotlight following his traditional marriage ceremony with fellow content creator Jarvis Jadrolita, an event that sparked widespread online discussion.
The latest reports have therefore attracted heightened public attention, with many supporters hoping for a swift resolution.
For now, the claims surrounding Peller’s alleged detention remain based on statements made by Tunde Perry and have not been independently confirmed by law enforcement authorities.
Until the police or Peller’s representatives issue an official statement, the exact circumstances surrounding the reported arrest and continued detention remain unclear.
