Police Academy Wudil Honours Retired AIG Patrick Atayero With Ceremonial Pull-Out Parade

The Nigeria Police Academy (POLAC), Wudil, Kano State, on Monday held a ceremonial pull-out parade in honour of its outgoing Commandant, retired Assistant Inspector-General of Police (AIG) Patrick A. Atayero, recognising his service and contributions to the institution.

The event took place at the Muhammadu Buhari Parade Ground within the academy and was attended by senior police officers, representatives of the Kano State Government, officials of other security agencies and invited stakeholders.

The ceremony marked Atayero’s retirement as the academy’s 24th Commandant after completing his tenure in office. Participants paid tribute to his leadership and acknowledged his role in the development of the institution during his time as commandant. The parade featured ceremonial activities traditionally held to honour retiring senior police officers and celebrated Atayero’s years of service in the Nigeria Police Force.

Speakers at the event commended the retired AIG for his commitment to the academy and expressed confidence that the institution would continue to uphold professionalism and excellence in police training.The Police Academy said the ceremony reflects its tradition of recognising officers who have made significant contributions to the growth of the institution and the Nigeria Police Force.
